I already have had many unique experiences here in Colombia so I just want to dive right in and tell you all what has happened so far!

The first couple of days here were just settling into the ministry’s building they have here.
They have great accommodations with a bakery at the bottom of the apartments (so it’s pretty convenient).
First significant thing I would like to talk about is our ministry in the Bronx. The Bronx is a small area in Medellín where the worst of the worst of the city is. In a city block you have drug addicted homeless people roaming all over the place alongside people selling all the drugs you can name on these tables lined up all alongside the road. An eye opening experience I actually ended up enjoying quite a bit. We went around praying for people and handing out flyers for our homeless ministry that our local church provides.
That was a place with an overwhelming sense of spiritual darkness but seeing God work through these people by just coming up and talking to us asking about why we were here was pretty reassuring. I just ask as we continue visiting the Bronx weekly that the fruit of our labor is not in vain but brings actual transformation even if it’s just 1 life.

Other than that we have done ministry inside our compound, recycling, kids ministry, as well as teaching other Colombians English.

On a fun note I hiked up a mountain!
Getting to admire creation through exploring like that is such a joy. This upcoming week I have kids ministry and more street ministry. If you could take the time to pray for me sometime this week that will be encouraging.
I love and miss you all!

One response to “Week 6 Medellin Colombia”

  1. What an eye opener to hear how much people are hurting and hopeless in this world. It really makes Ephesians 6:12 come to life. I can envision people on the streets in the Bronx, but overpowered and blinded by the dark spirits of this world. Praying for these lost souls that God’s angels and the Holy Spirit will break through and open their eyes and unbind their shackles and change their status from being prisoners of demons to being free at last!! Praying for restoration and forever healing ❤️‍🩹
