WOW!

God has moved in many unexpected ways!
This first week has pleasantly surprised me by the diversity of teachers and perspectives on faith. For instance, one of my favorite teachings was from this professor named Keith who gave us the classic question of “what is truth?”
That question itself is phrased wrongly, rather we should ask “Who is truth?” In 1 Corinthians 3:11 we are told the Jesus himself is the foundation of truth! Our goal should not be arguing what truth is but pointing people to Jesus.

Ask, seek and knock. This how others are pointed to Jesus. I can’t make others believe… it is the power of God who gives us the faith (which is not transactional faith) we are commanded to go out and MAKE disciples. Not just tell them why we believe what we believe, our mission is to tell the world we are free because of how good He is.

My team members are amazing to work with and I have been able to have really deep and honest conversations with a few of them so far. I am praying for unity for our 41 squad members as we spend the next 9 months together serving the Lord. If there also can be prayer for our hearts going out with the joy that we have been given so there will be no fear in sharing.

Already missing you guys back home but I am so excited to be sent out into the world bearing His name.

Peace of Christ be with you.
