So this week in Medellín me and my team have focused on homeless ministry! So practically speaking, every night we have our ministry open their doors late in the afternoon so we can invite the homeless in and offer them food and a roof over their heads for the night. During that time we simply show the love of Jesus and just sit and read the scriptures to them.
Also we have had a large amount of volunteers helping us do evangelism in the streets as well. Meeting people where they’re at and showing the character of our Lord. Since there is a language barrier (for the most part), our actions and the little things we do even when we feel we are not being watched is paramount to our purpose and image.
I have also been able to have the opportunity to share Christ with a few German volunteers that live here on the base. If there can be prayer for their hearts to soften towards the Gospel that will be appreciated. Building friendships with these German volunteers has been a blessing for me by reminding myself that when I share the Gospel with others it also fills me spiritually in a new way. What an amazing way to experience God!
I finished off this week with another hike around the area. It was so beautiful to see a whole new part of the world with the Lords handiwork in front of me. I want to thank everyone for their continuing support on this trip! If you’d like to reach out to me just contact me on WhatsApp. 🙂
Blessed be to the Father.
Josiah, thank you, so very much for the wonderful update and such beautiful writing on your blog. Continue to pray for the people of Columbia and we love the way you put it that the actions speak louder than words even though that may be a language barrier. Christ is certainly at work. through you and your team in a mighty way as you make yourself available for the spirit to do his work in and through each one of you.
There will be a wonderful time of harvest as well. Such a beautiful place in that part of the world too.
Love and prayers, mom and dad.
Josiah, thank you for sharing what God is doing there in the ministry opportunities that you and the team have been given.
I’m always encouraged by testimony of how God is revealing Himself to you and those around you! Praying for you and your team as everyday the work of the Lord goes on and the power of the Holy Spirit fills you to be as Jesus in every encounter and circumstance.
May the Glory of the Lord captivate you everyday and may you not grow weary in doing what God has called you to.
Love you!
